Turkey Chili
This recipe provides a delicious way to load up on lean protein and enjoy a warm, hearty meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 lbs. extra lean ground turkey breast
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans
- 2 large cloves garlic minced
- ½ lb. chopped mushrooms
- 1 diced green bell pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Dash of Tapatio Saucea
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
Directions:
Saute the onions in the olive oil. Add turkey and thoroughly cook. Add all remaining ingredients. Allow to simmer at a low heat for at least ½ to one hour. Great served with a green salad!
